Wedding Photo Book
Just received Marcus & Janessa’s photo book in the mail and it looks great! I look forward to their family seeing and sharing all the photos in the book! This style of presentation is more affordable and modern than a traditional wedding album for those looking for something different. Not to take anything away from ‘full-on’ wedding albums (love those too!) but this is truly a great product. Just one of my many offerings for your wedding or event memories…

The front cover.

Great looking printing on the spine.

Another look at the spine print.

Sharp images on the pages throughout the book!

Full page bleeds make it look great!

Some more iPhone pics!
As I continue to explore the possibilities of always having a camera on me, here are a few pics from a recent mountain bike ride. After getting up early on the east coast and working my way home I was very tired but needed to escape for a ride when I got home. Good thing too, because we got two feet of snow the next day! So after being up since 3:30am mountain time, a quick ride in south Boulder on the Marshall Mesa trails system was just what I needed.

¡Viva España!
So after a busy summer of shooting weddings Ali and I took a much needed vacation to the south coast of Spain in September, we pretty much did nothing but relax and swim in the Mediterranean. We did explore around Nerja a bit, although the picture taking was somewhat limited due to the large amount of time spent on the sand
As soon as we got back from Spain we shot another gorgeous mountain wedding, so I have been busy working on those photos and finally made time to put some vacation photos up. So please enjoy a few from around Nerja & Malaga Spain…

How about a night swim?

Yum.

Evening stroll around Nerja.

Heading down to the beach for a morning swim.

Heading down to another beach.

Getting ready for the morning catch.

A bit of modern amongst the old.

Not sure what it means, but cool name for boat nonetheless.

Nap time.

Well used.

Nothing like the beach.

Not ready to leave.

Yours truly with the beautiful Mrs. Photographer Guy.

Adios Nerja.
Getting creative with the cell phone camera…
So most of us have those sometimes useful and often annoying devices called cell phones these days. And most of them have a camera on them as well. Since most of us don’t always want to lug a big SLR camera with us everywhere all the time, or even a point & shoot the cell phone camera can come in handy at times. You can argue that a 2 mega pixel cell phone camera isn’t a great camera by any stretch. This is true. However with a little creativity and helpful editing software my iPhone camera is suddenly a bit more useful. Enter the ‘Best Camera’ app from photographer Chase Jarvis.
I had been looking for a decent camera app that would apply some simple filters and perhaps some cropping action. Turns out he pretty much nailed it with this one. There are some standard filters to apply such as blue or yellow. Or you can get more creative with a sepia tone, high contrast, or that metro pop look a lot of folks like these days.
So after downloading the app, I found myself waiting for the Metra train in Chicago to head out to visit some friends. I snapped a pic of a passing train, applied a filter and bamo! Uploaded right to my Facebook account and instantly sharing with the world! Pretty handy indeed! Where is the pic you ask? Here you go…
So it is with this new fancy app that I intend on trying to capture the world around me when I don’t have one of my ‘real’ cameras with me. I challenge you to do the same even if you don’t have a fancy application to help out. Now get out there and start shooting!
A Malibu wedding…
A few teaser shots from Eddie & Mo’s gorgeous Malibu wedding a few weeks ago. It was a truly wonderful affair and we were privleged to cover such an amazing event.

Unique place cards...they are movie buffs!

That is all for now, stay tuned for a link to the updated wedding gallery on my website in a week or two. For now, time for a little time off and some picture taking along the southern coast of Spain. Cheers!
A bit of Seattle
We recently had on ‘off’ weekend together to attend a wedding in Seattle, so I brought the camera along for a few snaps. Here are a few that I enjoyed…

Marcus & Janessa
Back in July I got to shoot a very special day for Marcus & Janessa. It was a gorgeous mountain wedding in Estes Park, with wonderful family & friends in attendance. These two have that bit of special magic between them, so taking pictures of them came easy. Here are a few of my early favorites…

More pictures to come soon on the main site!
Quebec City at night…

A recent trip to Quebec City revealed a beautiful city. Especially at night! The fountain in front of the Parliament Building in the city.
